As we have moved into a very large space (7 acres) of land that has been neglected for 10+ years, my gift continues to be one of love and nurturing. I sow peace in every sweet spot. Clearing sacred spaces, creekside, pathways, fern gardens, and small flower gardens closer to the place we call home now. It is a beauteous thing, requires a lot of effort, and the results are greatly appreciated by flora, fauna, humanoids, and elementals.. Such a journey to work with them <3

I am heading out now to lay cardboard and mulch in the pathways, plant Macuna Beans and hopefully transplant a goji berry. Thank you Mother Earth for your gifts, and thank you to all who tend to her <3

Tending the garden with presence and a lot of love. Our first year growing fully from seed. The garden nourishes me through lessons of resilience, patience, and the beauty of imperfection.
Hollie from OR - Rooted In Light (324 days ago)
As this is my first garden of beds, each day i will sit with each bed and sing to each one. Sing my intentions and sing with love and gratitude. in this way, i honor the life each plant gives, nourishment and life. i see each plant for what they are, microcosm spirits joined as one life giving bundle of enlivened food. My garden nourishes me in so many ways. It gives me the space to pause, to ground and to be fully present. My garden humbles me. My garden fills me with light and trust. i am so grateful~~*~*~*

Today I am harvesting mint and calendula, planting the squash and beans to join the corn I have already planted in my three sisters garden, apply green mulch to my fruit trees, ing seeds for starting my next warm weather crop, feed my worm bin, prune the roses and harvest the petals, and weed the area around my honeybee hive so they can have smooth access for all their pollinating work. If I have time I will work on the garden sink I am building that will reuse grey water for plant watering.

Today like everyday, I’m going to talk to my plants, and ask them how they are doing. I’ll talk to them in my native language (French) and share memories of my childhood with them. I’ll caress the nettles, say hi to the comfrey who is blooming her purple flowers. I’ll feed and water my plants and veggies And enjoy my day with them!

Trellising my cucumbers and some volunteer squash out of my compost bin. I always love volunteer squash because it's a surprise what you end up getting. If it was in my compost it's from something I ate, so gotta be good. I'm also harvesting kale and gonna make a salad for lunch. Happy Gardening!

Today I'll be watering and tending to the nursery. Setting up watering systems for the American plum and apple stock donated to us from our homie Caitlin and Fedco! Rescuing massive flats of beets, onion, tomatoes, spinach that was overseeded. Where most farmers have planted all of their stock I'll be saving these from the compost bin and handing them out to anyone woh wants to garden. This season I am in service to the garden. Offering what I am able to help establish gardens and nursury stock all over the North Shore/ Cape Anne of Massachusetts. Greatful for the opportunity I have to get my hands into the soil. Gaia grounds my body and mind. Blessings to you all, Earth lovers

My bright green garden is my happy place. Currently living in tropical Tampa and it’s too hot for much to survive. But I do have my herbs and tropical plants. My husband and I are building in S Central Oregon and I’m already planning my food garden for when we build our property. I plan to compost. But for now tending to my plants and yard is my space of peace.

Luna from Germany, Berlin - (324 days ago)
Getting up early to water the greens before they'll be hit by the sun. Happily dwelling on the wet grass, gazing at the blossoming trees, the busy ants and the amazing baby bees who come by to kiss fragile rose petals. Oh my goodness, this garden saves my life. So grateful to have it in the middle of this big city life.

Today I will spend time preparing to transplant the baby tomatoes. The weather is a bit wild here today but I’ll also walk into my garden orchard where I’ll admire our mature Apple, pear, quince, sour cherry & damson trees. MORE POWER TO THE EARTH. ✨👊✨

Today I’ll tend to the vegetable beds, the greenhouse and the herbs. We’ll be planting out some seedlings we’ve been growing. Giving care and love everyday to the place that nurtures our bellies and our souls. Also I’ll lie flat on the ground, feeling immense gratitude for Mother Earth and for our lives in this place I call our little paradise. And maybe most importantly, we’ll share our love for Mother Earth with our little girl, like we do everyday.

Anjelique from Puerto Rico - Las Marias Project (325 days ago)
I will start the party (day) with my usual tending to seeds, seedlings, and newly transplanted plants within the garden with water from rain catchment systems. Spent tomatoes vines will be thrown into compost and that section of the bed will be planted with beans to restore nitrogen levels of the soil. Thinning dill seedlings, uppotting wormwood, and transplanting zinnias, eggplant, and a fuzzy-leafed cucumber variety into the garden are all things I’m looking forward to accomplishing / giving to the garden tomorrow. The abundance of creeping cucumber in the garden satisfies my desire for a nourishing crunchy snack, and the cuban oregano and ajicito peppers (being staples in my family’s sofrito recipe) bring nourishment to each meal infused with their magic ((along with many other herbs)). I am only at this garden for another two weeks, but in the past three months I’ve dedicated a couple hours a day towards positive growth and change within and without the garden. Gardens are reflections of our spirit. Inviting all of your beneficial insect and human friends to the every day garden party by planting viable, beneficial seeds is the key to a happy and healthy community of plants and people. I am grateful to have the opportunity to have a community garden I am able to volunteer at on this specific day. I’m realized that there are always places in this world for one to continue learning more about our connections with mama Earth. Whether you own a backyard, windowsill, or nothing at all, start with obtaining seeds that speak to you- there is still a place for you to grow for yourself and others. Watching plants grow from seed brings me the peace and meaning that I hope for myself and my community. I think we should garden party more often :) Thank you for this, Erik and Centehua ! Keep spreading the good word(k), everyone !🌿

I will get my hands/heart/mind in it. I will let the soil under my fingernails and onto my skin. I will give gratitude for the plants growing there now and the seeds that I have yet to sow, for providing me with a safe place and nourishment. I will pull weeds and add them to the compost pile in hopes of nourishing the soil for garden seasons to come. I will mulch around my rows with wood chips from local trees leftover from past weather destruction and feel humbled at the cycle of it all. I will come back to my garden and give what I can without expectation. What an honor to have a life and a body capable of bringing me to this sanctuary amidst the chaos of the every day.

I am going to plant seeds for the future along side members of our soul family. Specifically I intend to sow seeds of perennial medicinal herbs.my prayer is that the plants will flourish and produce copious amounts of seeds that I can then share far and wide with other gardens. The garden nourishes me in infinite ways, most of which I am unaware. I feel most alive and joyful when I am in the garden with my family.

Much of our garden is still growing babies, so these days I have just been enjoying walking amongst it and seeing the growth each day. I've been enjoying watching the birds come and visit and find insects and worms to take back to their babies in the nest. On Saturday I will turn our compost pile, hand pick any of the caterpillars or snails off the plants (I've seen their holes!), and clear away some weeds. Feeling so grateful for the space, ability and privilege I have to create some food sovereignty in my life.

15 years ago I was given a clear inner directive: tend the earth an hour every day. It has taken some time and soul work to build up to that, but I daresay that’s my minimum most days anymore. Whether gardening, wildcrafting (and spreading seeds of course), or helping rehabilitate and nourish the land, learning how to be in reciprocal harmony with the wild world is my life devotion. I can’t think of any other way that I feel so completely whole.
Christine from - (327 days ago)
I will continue to plant, weed, feed my worms, turn my compost, feed my fruit trees with compost. My garden keeps me grounded and fulfilled everyday. She shows me her ups and Downs. And when she’s up she brings more love into my heart.
Ivy from United States Idaho - (327 days ago)
Bought our first house 4 months ago with so much gratitude. We’re digging into our freshly rained on for 3 days property to create more garden/growing space this Saturday. Our dream is to finish our property into a xeric oasis! Can you combine those two words...of course! Mostly natives except for the garden space and some already established trees and shrubs. Returning the land to native fills our cup as the pollinators and soil return to their natural state. Blessings to you for sharing and inspiring.
Elli from WV - (327 days ago)
On Saturday I’ll be planting tomatoes, along with many flowers and herbs to accompany them. My garden has taught me how to be thorough in nurturing...when I participate in my relationship with my garden whole-heartedly, we both thrive. Some form of life would exist in my garden space whether I did anything or not, but my actions, inputs, and care bring about an abundance, a co-creation between myself and all entities that make up my “garden” (soil, plants, bugs, & all creatures that call it home).
Erin from Australia - South East Queensland - Sunshine Coast - (327 days ago)
During the garden party I will be creating bean trellis from bamboo off-cuts gleaned from my neighbours throw-away pile. Plant out the beans. Plant out sweet potato cuttings. Collect mulch and spread it wide. My garden nourishes me with a patient mirror and cheerleader. It waits humbly as I navigate my internal dialogue about my ability to garden in somewhat challenging conditions. And grows sturdily when I step deeper into trust of the greater life-force and magic making it all happen.
Zina from Unceeded Ute and goshute land (Utah) - (327 days ago)
My garden is a constant teacher, a space of connection, or wonder and deep peace. On Saturday I’m going to plant a wild rose bush that is indigenous to this area and dig out some grass areas for space for more diverse plant kin.
Nicole from USA, California - (327 days ago)
I just started a backyard garden since the ‘Rona excitement started. It is my space to get away from the stress and get my hands in the dirt and weed. It’s my stress relief. I plan on growing what I can and learning as I go and sharing the blessing that come from my garden with my neighbors. I already compost and have had the experience to learn at your garden site. Thank you for offering your location so that newbies like me can learn to be better stewards of our green spaces.
Anna from KS - (327 days ago)
I will plant more seeds into the beds already begun, i will plant some more herbs into our hugelkultur bed! I will lovingly remove some of the poison ivy from the land here and sprinkle wildflower seeds where their empty spaces lie. I will share cuttings with a friend and discuss community! And so much more 😁

Sage from Colorado, USA - Vital Earth Gardening (327 days ago)
My garden is my labor of love. What I put into it, it gives back even more. We are a partnership, a love affair. In honor of this celebration, I will plant veggies and medicinal herb starts in my garden with ritual and prayer. With each plant I put into the earth, I will put my intentions into the universe. My garden holds space for me, like an old friend. It listens. The plants give me direction, purpose, and drive. They allow me to learn. Alongside them, I grow.
Ally from CA - (327 days ago)
I will plant my starts in their final homes in the soil, trim my hedges and save the clippings for compost. My garden gives me so much especially during the pandemic, it gives me solace, a place to escape, an outdoor classroom to learn and grow my skills, a backyard farm I can enjoy and barter/share my goods with others, a place I can invest my time and labor into and reap so many benefits even if the bounty is not abundant.
Anna from Nova Scotia - Highlandfarm (327 days ago)
First corn planting going in. The garden gives its ever generous abundance. We eat fresh sweet corn to our hearts and bellies content and always plenty for the freezer so we can taste summer all winter long.
Nicole from Vermont - Golden Well Sanctuary (327 days ago)

Then I will be removing another section of grass to plant the herbs. After that I’m going be adding clover seed to the remaining grass areas. Lastly we will starting on an area where we can enjoy what the garden has to offer.
Sena from CA - (328 days ago)
I will fill the new garden bed I made last weekend with soil and plant all our herb starts. Hopefully we will get our drip system finalized for the big garden! And I will lay a bunch of burlap sacks on pathways to help with weeds and bring functional beauty.🌿❤️
Caitlin from Orcutt, California - (328 days ago)
This weekend, I’m building my latest garden bed, transplanting seedlings of rainbow chard, kale, mizuna, majmas, and mustards into the bed. Planting new seeds of bok choy varieties, rapini broccoli, lettuces, radishes, and spinach. I'm potting beets and carrots, and moving rocks to make room for more plants on the perimeter. I will sow wildflower seeds in the open spaces in my backyard. And plant snap peas under the trellis. My garden nourishes me with soothing space, feelings of aliveness, strength, creativity, and self-reliance. It nourishes me with food to cook for my household and fresh vegetables to share with my family and local community. Feelings of peace and groundedness with the abundance and security of healthful food.
RaeDawn from United States, California - (328 days ago)
I will plant my starts in companion planting style, get horse manure for my worm friends, and start more herb seeds! My garden nourishes me by reminding me to feel my roots and ground my self, to look at the moon and the clouds, and to smell the earth. Through reminding me of my animal-ness, my humanness, and connecting me to our Mother Earth. It nourishes me by providing food for my family and friends around me, and herbs to make medicine with. It nourishes me by teaching me how to listen and give gratitude with my heart.
Jayne from Wales, U.K - (328 days ago)
I've just been given my first garden plot, so I'll be finishing the clearing, adding goat & horse shit to feed the soil and creating my garden altar. I'm going to work with the phases of the moon when planting & harvesting and only using copper tools, there will be dancing there too! So much love for Mother Garden Gathering.

Laura from Latvia, Liepaja - (328 days ago)
Everything what is written in sample :) I love to say hello to all garden inhabitants! I love to nourish them and cuddle with them. I love different plants meeting each other and not just their mrothers and sisters. I love to see in spring plants who already have decided their space in garden. Yesterday we did our compost. I love, love, love my garden and everything about it!
Beata from London UK - (328 days ago)

Kathena from Boulder, CO - ONE|Boulder (328 days ago)
Every week with ONE|Boulder we host regenerative community action days ~ & it just so happens to be mostly centralized around the gardens!! This week we will be getting our hands dirty up-potting and transplanting some of the 6k starts we have :) yay! There will be a group of around 12 or more of us getting dirty with yall. The gardens nourish me in so many ways. Time in the sun. Hands in the dirt, being outdoors connected to the wildness of nature, while tending to the earth is like therapy for me. I feel so connected. Alive, a part of the living system that is Gaia herself. From seed to soul, I love every process. Seeding, TLC, planting, pruning, harvesting, watering, preparing, enjoying.. its all so beautiful. I love liatening to the planrs and leanrning from the earth directly. Grateful for the peace it beings me. As well as the connection it cultivate to my own body too. Yum yum. And of course there is something so exciting and nourishing about knowing youre contributing to food/medicine resiliency and regenerative opportunities for the land ~ especially places like here in high desert Colorado. Its so incredible to see the difference a few trees can make to a whole ecosystem. Xxo

Eleanor from USA, WA - Wild Beloved Herbals (329 days ago)
This weekend I will be weeding and mulching w/ compost! This is my 2nd year small scale farming on unceded Nooksack traditional territory. Each year I pour libations (milk, honey, homemade herbal elixirs and vinegars- one for each of the senses of taste) on the ground giving thanks before I begin the planting out season. I ask my family to partake in this ritual. I don't believe seeds can grow well without prayer. When it's time for seeds to go in or seedlings I always speak to them and tell them "welcome to your new home, I promise to do my best to take care of you." Our fields are nourished by green cover crops, manure rich compost from a local dairy, and of course, our shadows, the sweat of our brow and calloused hands. My garden nourishes me by keeping me and my loved ones alive and healthy. It brings me and so many others joy and sustenance, through the food and medicine we grow.
Zoe from Lansing, MI - Self (329 days ago)
Offering compost, tilling soil, propogating and sharing from locals, circling with loved beings, barefoot dancing with the elements. The garden nourishes me limitlessly and eternally, so long as I do the same for her. Harmonious healing.
Evangeline from California - Ecotopia Ranch (329 days ago)
I will weed and seed the veggie garden, planting the propagation cuttings in soil in the greenhouse, make new propagation cuttings, add additional plants to the understory of the food forest, transplant baby oaks. My gardens, orchard and food forests nourish me by transporting me to a paradise where I can walk around in beauty eating fruit off the trees and picking vegetables from the garden and having a plethora of herbs and medicines. These nourish my body, lift my soul and the beautiful sounds of wildlife ease my mind.
Becca from US, California - (329 days ago)

Emma from New Mexico - My home (329 days ago)
I am building top soil with goat manure from the farm where I’ve been working! My garden is on a big terrace so I carry a load up by hand every day to nurture this little baby vegetable garden! I’m excited to expand the garden into the front yard to inspire the neighborhood to get communal with their gardens! Sexy soul spirit squad!
Trish from Norfolk, United kingdom - (329 days ago)
I started a Hugel bed last year and I am going to plant some courgettes in it. I am going to plant a squash plant in my compost heap. I love my compost heap. I also want tomatoes in a hanging basket. I'm also doing my best to deter those snails and slugs, surrounding all my little lettuces with egg shells and sharp twigs. Usually I let them eat them!!!
Brittany from Tucson Arizona - (329 days ago)
Continue to expand my garden with edible plant allies! Also continue to expand my basic plant knowledge and how to better protect flora, fauna and Mother Earth in general!
Nahani from Oregon, USA - (329 days ago)
I will be sewing more seeds and transplanting starts. Sewing seeds is exciting and seeds of hope are planted in the internal landscape as well. Transplanting reminds me of being a teenager and feeling like I was too large to fit in my mother's small apartment anymore. I will of course water them with love and H20. Sharing love is a reminder that 1000 candles can be lit by one and not compromise the first ones essence. While watering I will drink some water myself and imagine I am a seed that has just been planted in a safe cozy pocket of earth and the water helps me adjust to my new home and open my shell so I can sprout into a plant.
Kristin from New York - (329 days ago)
Feeding my garden the first ever batch of compost from the pile I began last year ~ thinning out what’s sprouting giving everyone more than enough space to spread out and grow ~ watering plenty ~ growing organic broccoli and calabrese tomatoes for the community ~ garden meditations and relaxing into the sounds of bees and birds is a really powerful medicine for me ~ deepening garden knowledge to share with others ~ infinite snacks ~ gardens just soothe my soul , a true zen space, relaxing and peaceful ~

We just transplanted a bunch of baby sprouts into beds and are working on developing the three sisters on another part of the land. Our small flock of chicks are growing and we are loving tending to our fruit trees. We are hoping to create an herb garden in the near future! Our garden is the place where we can practice listening to the way our Earth Mother communicates to us through the plants, soil and elemental beings. Our garden is a warm and nurturing place for us to commune as family and drop our minds into the embodiment of service. Thank you. We love you. Alex & Greg

Planting roots: carrots, beets, turnip, kohlrabi (the moon will be in Taurus according to the Maria Thun North America biodynamic calendar)! The 23rd is the day after the new moon: I'll set new intentions to be in devotion to the mother garden even more. I'll fertilize the garden with an organic fertilizer or worm castings from our worm bin and water it all in. I'll tip prune my trees to shape them into healthy structure so they can direct their growth in a healthy manner for the rest of the summer. I'll have an evening fire and grill vegetables to share with family for dinner!

I’m fortunate to have gardens in different locations. Each garden is unique to its own, with plants, fruits, vegetables, and garden animal, critter friends. Whichever garden I find myself in, I’ll tend, and nurture and be present in but I find my heart in many gardens.

Levi from USA Oregon - Sweet Spot Farm LLC (333 days ago)
I am implementing the three sisters technique of corn, beans, and squash in our garden. The companion planting of these special plants is very interesting to me and I enjoy tapping into indigenous wisdom in regenerating our topsoil. I look forward to having a summer party and sharing our abundance with our household and the local community!

If I have time I will work on the garden sink I am building that will reuse grey water for plant watering.

Getting up early to water the greens before they'll be hit by the sun. Happily dwelling on the wet grass, gazing at the blossoming trees, the busy ants and the amazing baby bees who come by to kiss fragile rose petals. Oh my goodness, this garden saves my life.

Start a compost bin. My garden is my awakening right now. Somehow I am amazed that when I plant seeds, they grow and feed me. It seems odd to never have done this before and I am falling in love.

I'll be adding more soil/compost to my garden. While doing so I will thank the plants. My garden has grown so much. Last year, there grew enough tomatoes to last me through the winter and now spring. Now there is an abundance of lettuce and corn. My garden not only contributes to my health but also as a place to take a pause.

Also.....one of the goji berries looks like it might have a fungus, there are some white spots on the leaves....what should I do? Thanks. Happy mothergardenday!

I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with you all in my tiny garden! Any tips would be helpful!!
Jessi from United States of America, Kansas - (325 days ago)
Randi from Texas - (325 days ago)
Transplant some pepper seedlings from the greenhouse into our raised beds, harvest some more carrots for snacking, move any/all expiring plants to compost to later add back into the soil, & gift some cantaloupe seedlings to friends and family. The garden is my happy place!

I will tend to my budding new raised bed garden by making sure it has gotten enough water, and check all of the plants to see how they are growing! My garden nourishes me in so many ways. Getting my hands and feet in the soil.. communing with the creatures closest to our mother.. gives me a sense of connectedness and peace.
Lily from California - (325 days ago)
Much of our garden is still growing babies, so these days I have just been enjoying walking amongst it and seeing the growth each day. I've been enjoying watching the birds come and visit and find insects and worms to take back to their babies in the nest. On Saturday I will turn our compost pile, hand pick any of the caterpillars or snails off the plants (I've seen their holes!), and clear away some weeds. Feeling so grateful for the space, ability and privilege I have to create some food sovereignty in my life.

Ariana from Colorado - (327 days ago)

I just started a backyard garden since the ‘Rona excitement started. It is my space to get away from the stress and get my hands in the dirt and weed. It’s my stress relief. I plan on growing what I can and learning as I go and sharing the blessing that come from my garden with my neighbors. I already compost and have had the experience to learn at your garden site. Thank you for offering your location so that newbies like me can learn to be better stewards of our green spaces.

I will give to my garden by pledging myself to its thriving not just one day but all days. Mother Earth will feel the hands of my children digging in and exploring her. The garden will nourish me with its presence which regulates my nervous system and fills my soul, and my belly with gratitude

I’m fortunate to have gardens in different locations. Each garden is unique to its own, with plants, fruits, vegetables, and garden animal, critter friends. Whichever garden I find myself in, I’ll tend, and nurture and be present in but I find my heart in many gardens.

On this great day I will plant a tree. It will give me food, water, shelter, air, soil, shade, happiness, strength, building materials, plus it will give all these things to all other people and beings and bacteria and fungi and insects.

I am implementing the three sisters technique of corn, beans, and squash in our garden. The companion planting of these special plants is very interesting to me and I enjoy tapping into indigenous wisdom in regenerating our topsoil. I look forward to having a summer party and sharing our abundance with our household and the local community!
